Kate and Brandon. Great people. Their family and friends? Great as well. Some of the nicest people I have had the chance to hang out with. These people know how to celebrate and have a good time. They were actually really nice, but you would have to be with that name. I met them at the bottom of Little Cottonwood Canyon and took them over to where the river is usually crashing down the canyon . It was completely dry. Made for a great setting even with the rain and wind. Enough from me – here are the pictures.

I received an email from a past wedding photography client today that warmed my heart. I really liked working with Amanda and Jeremy. They have so much style. The email is below but I just wanted to point out how nice it is for them, after several years, they still have online access to their pictures and are able to order and re-order as they like.

Good morning, Tyson! I don’t know if you remember Jeremy and I, but you photographed our wedding on April 25, 2009 at St. Joe’s Church in Ogden. We were wanting to view the pictures again as I want to order a few more, but I don’t know our password. Can you email it to me perhaps?
Also, I wanted to let you know that the “antique” photo you took of us (with Jeremy in the chair and myself standing next to him) always gets tons of compliments. We hung it in the entryway to our home in Las Vegas, and people always stop to admire it. It hangs next to the wedding photo of my great-great grandparents, and is exactly what we wanted. I can’t tell you how much that still means to myself and my family to have that portrait.
I hope your business is doing very well, and that you’re still enjoying being a (fantastic!) wedding photographer. I wish you all the best, and again, thank you for being there to capture our wedding.

Things have been so crazy over the last few months. Sorry for not being more on top of this blog. Sometimes it goes to the back burner as other things have to come first. Family and work are the first priority. After that, I have put my running closer to the front as my wife and I have several big races planned this year. We are running the Wasatch Back Ragnar Relay in just under two weeks. Then we will be running the Top of Utah Half Marathon, St. George marathon and then the Las Vegas Ragnar Relay. My wife and I put in for the St. George Marathon thinking we wouldn’t get in. We were not that lucky. We are now committed or maybe we should be committed?
Jamie and Alex were so great to work with. They are so laid back. It really made this wedding so much fun. The weather was looking questionable but turned out perfect. They were married in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on March 11th, 2011 and they had their reception at the Eaglewood Event Center that evening. It was great being involved in the entire process. I got to shoot their engagement pictures, bridal pictures, wedding dinner, and their entire wedding day.
Never in all my years as a wedding photographer have I ever seen anything like this before. After cutting the cake, Jamie and Alex went to feed each other and Alex must have been a lot hungrier than anyone might have thought. He decided not to wait until Jamie had taken her fingers out of the way of his teeth before completely biting down. Please reference the pictures below for a great laugh!
I also had the privilege to work with one of my favorite wedding videographers again. Kale Fitch of Kale Fitch Productions. He is so creative and likeable. He really makes things fun. Please check out his video of the wedding here. I let him borrow my 45mm tilt shift lens for a few shots. It looks really cool with video. He also did their engagement video which you can see here.
The album turned out wonderful. They had so many pictures that they loved, we decided to do 20 album spreads instead of the standard 10. I can’t wait to see the finished product!

I met with Erin and Joe a few weeks back to shoot their engagement session. Two very photogenic people for sure. Joe is a linebacker for the United Football League and played college football for the University of Kansas. Can you guess how Erin and Joe met? Of course Erin was a cheerleader. These two are so in love and are really down to earth. I had such a great time. I can’t wait to shoot their wedding next year. I am sure it will be tons of fun. The first thing my wife said when she saw these pictures was “he has HUGE arms”. I said “yeah they are bigger then Erin’s”. BTW, I am pretty jealous of Joe’s beard.

I have to say these are amazing photos! Some of the best I have seen.. just breathtaking the way you have captured them in every shot! I love them all, they are a very photogenic, beautiful couple and the football shots are priceless! One of my favorites is of the their legs… seeing her goosebumps.. It’s romantic! You don’t get the feeling of her being cold.. the way she is standing…you imagine them sharing an amazing kiss! The other favorite is of them in the alley where he is leaning into her and she has her hand on his chest… all I can say is WOW!
